Arrive & settle in
Meet us at Shadows Marina 20–30 minutes early. We’ll welcome you aboard, help with your belongings, and give a relaxed safety briefing.
Make yourself at home
Choose your favorite spot on deck or cool off in the air-conditioned salon. Complimentary water, towels, and a private restroom are available.
Enjoy the Hudson
Your licensed captains handle the details while you take in the river, celebrate, laugh, toast, and enjoy time with your favorite people.

How many guests may join us?
Utopia welcomes up to six guests per private charter.
Where do charters depart?
We depart from Shadows Marina in Poughkeepsie, New York. Your confirmation will include arrival and meeting details.
When should we arrive?
Please arrive 20–30 minutes before your scheduled departure so boarding and the safety briefing never feel rushed.
What is included with a private charter?
Our four- and six-hour private charters include fuel, a cooler with ice, a charcuterie board, captain and crew, a champagne toast, and kayaks or paddleboards. Eight-hour custom cruises are planned around your preferences.
What should we wear on board?
Dress comfortably for the weather and bring a light layer. Shoes are removed before boarding unless they are approved, clean, non-marking boat shoes.
What should we bring?
Bring sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and any food or beverages you’ve coordinated with us. We provide complimentary water, towels, and plenty of room to relax.
Is there a restroom?
Yes. Utopia has a private restroom as well as an air-conditioned salon.
What happens if the weather changes?
Your captains monitor conditions carefully. If weather makes the charter unsafe, we’ll follow the cancellation and weather policy provided with your booking.
Is smoking or vaping permitted?
No. Utopia is completely smoke- and vape-free.
