Chris brings decades of boating experience, technical knowledge, and a genuine love of life on the water to Utopia.

A mechanical engineer by profession and an experienced captain, Chris combines hands-on knowledge with a calm, confident presence at the helm. From understanding the mechanics of the vessel to navigating the Hudson, his attention to detail helps ensure guests can simply settle in and enjoy the ride.

An adventurer at heart, Chris believes some of the best days are spent on the water with nowhere to rush to. He enjoys sharing the Hudson from a captain’s perspective—its scenery, its history, and those stretches of river that make you want to slow down and stay awhile.

For Chris, Utopia is about giving guests the chance to leave the everyday behind and experience the freedom of being on the water.

What does he love most about Utopia? That moment when the dock falls away, the Hudson opens up ahead, and everyone aboard realizes the rest of the world can wait.

Captain Sue brings a wonderful combination of confidence, warmth, and genuine care to every Utopia charter.

A lifelong lover of the water and adventure, Sue has a calm, easygoing presence that makes guests feel comfortable from the moment they step aboard. Whether she’s at the helm or simply sharing the beauty of the Hudson, she has a way of making the experience feel relaxed, personal, and unhurried.

Before becoming a captain, Sue spent her career as a registered nurse—a background reflected in the attentiveness, responsibility, and care she continues to bring to everything she does. Deeply spiritual and connected to nature, Sue believes that life is meant to be fully experienced, the people we love should be cherished, and the moments we share should never be taken for granted.

What does she love most about Utopia? For Sue, time on the water is a chance to step away from the rush of everyday life—to take in the view, laugh with the people beside you, breathe a little deeper, and truly appreciate the moment you’re in.

For Linda, Utopia is all about making memories. She believes some of the best memories are made with good people in beautiful places, and she loves creating experiences that feel personal rather than ordinary. Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, girls’ day, family outing, or simply an afternoon on the water, her goal is simple: make every guest feel like Utopia is their yacht for the day.

Her favorite part of Utopia? Watching guests step aboard as strangers and leave as friends—with wonderful memories made and stories to tell.
